ORIGINALS VS COMPATIBLES

Do you remember the days when your only choice was an original cartridge or a recycled cartridge which was refilled with the ancient ‘drill and fill’ method? This method was used when companies took a normal drill, boar a hole into the cartridge and then filled up with toner. The hole was covered up with some sort of tape and resold.  The quality and performance was nothing left to be desired and the next method was developed.

With this method, the cartridge was simply dissembled, the interior was cleaned and then the toner was refilled. A simple test print was performed and then the cartridge was packaged and resold. The quality and performance was higher than the previous ‘drill and fill’ method but somehow still lacked in matching up to the original cartridge.

Thankfully, with advanced technology, we are now able to match the quality and performance, where there is very little difference between our compatible inkjet and toner cartridges and the original cartridges. Over and above the quality and performance, we are also able to offer cost savings and environmental advantages of recycling.

Now before you think a compatible cartridge is the same as a recycled cartridge…it is NOT! The only part of our inkjet and toner cartridges that are considered recycled are the empty original cartridges we receive for reuse. Once we receive these cartridges they are visually inspected and some even electronically tested before we accept or use them.

Once we have the empty cartridge we then proceed to with the following process:

TONER CARTRIDGES

The cartridge is dissembled, where all components are inspected, separated and cleaned. A new drum, wiper blade, magnetic roller and any other parts necessary are replaced. The toner container is then filled with new toner to the OEM’s specifications. Once filled, the toner container is sealed with a pull-out tab to prevent leakage. The cartridge is reassembled and tested according to industry standards. Once approved, it is packed in an insert into a box to protect while storing and transporting.

INK CARTRIDGES

Once the cartridge has been tested, it goes through a stringent cleaning process where it is cleaned, soaked, steamed, washed and dried thoroughly to remove all the old ink. Then any parts that need to be replaced are replaced. The ink tank is then filled with ink to the OEM’s specifications. The cartridge is then tested again by checking the circuits and using a test printer to check performance and quality. Once approved, it is packed in a blister pack to protect while storing and transporting.

Not only do our processes ensure that our cartridges offer nothing less than the best in quality and performance, but we also strive to save our customers money and prevent an overflow of cartridges in our landfills.
